comprehensive database of Internet Web sites, Websense has created an application database that categorizes PC applications and allows unique policy-driven security and optimized productivity at the
corporate desktop. Websense classified executables from thousands of applications into 50 categories (including P2P, IM, spyware, employee hacking, malicious software and games) for use in establishing
and applying management and control policies. The database offers the most complete list of categorized applications available and is updated regularly with unclassified applications via weekly searches of
the entire URL domain space for malicious executables, and mining of software and download sites for new applications. In addition, our AppCatcher™ technology anonymously uploads all uncategorized
